Andrew Smiley Quoted by Consumer Eagle for a Personal Trainer Negligence Article

Last month, Mr. Andrew Smiley was asked to contribute to an article at Consumer Eagle about how personal trainers don't have an official competency minimum when being employed in these positions, and the dangers that arise from such a situation.

While personal trainers have a variety of skills they themselves must study and train for, experience is the only factor that determines how qualified a individual is at the position. The article discusses how a number of organizations are seeking to correct this by creating a unified system for education and creditializing of personal trainers.

That doesn't mean there are not qualified Personal Trainers out there practicing. There just isn't a definitive method for distinguishing between those who are properly qualified, and those who are not. Remember, you can contact our law firm if you or someone you know has been injured due to personal trainer negligence.
