A recent case can serve as an example of our services. Our client visited a well-known hospital in the Bronx with complaints of swelling and pain in his left underarm. The doctors diagnosed a localized infection that needed to be drained by way of a simple surgical draining procedure.

While performing the “simple” procedure, though, the surgeon placed the scalpel blade too deep and severed our client’s ulnar nerve, resulting in loss of sensation and use of our client’s left arm and hand. We worked with numerous experts to document the surgical error and its results, then settled the case immediately prior to jury selection for $1.2 million.
