In 2009, we were contacted by parents whose child had “disappeared” for four hours after boarding a school bus after day care. An investigation revealed that the bus driver “got lost.” Rather than competently handling the situation, the driver drove around aimlessly and, we believe, failed to comfort or reassure the child. By the time the bus and child were located the child had soiled himself due to trauma. 

Our investigation revealed that the child has since consistently exhibited signs of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). We aggressively pursued this claim and obtained an arbitration award of $125,000 for the traumatized child.
