Jason D. Friedman
Jason D. Friedman joined Smiley & Smiley, LLP
in March 2000. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Friedman
gained valuable experience defending civil actions in
the areas of medical malpractice and labor law. He began
his legal career prosecuting criminal actions as an
Assistant District Attorney. Mr. Friedman earned his
law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1996 and a B.A.
in economics and philosophy from the State University
of New York at Binghamton in 1990.
After entering law school, Mr. Friedman knew that litigation
was his calling. He was a member of the Brooklyn Law
School National Trial Advocacy Team that was named co-champion
of the Northeast Region of the U.S. and competed in
the National Finals in Houston, Texas.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Friedman gained
business experience as a Service Consultant with Citibank.
His unique background allows him to think broadly, but
with precision. His ability to communicate effectively
to all members of our diverse society helps our clients
understand the complex nature of our legal system. Mr.
Friedman truly enjoys helping people when they are unable
to help themselves.
He is currently active in numerous legal organizations
including the New York State Bar Association, the American
Bar Association and the New York State Trial Lawyers
Association.
When he is out of the office, Jason D. Friedman enjoys
skiing, boating and juggling.
